Team building

Events have been facilitated for Post NL, Shell and a youth services organisation in Rotterdam.

The approach:

A Lego Serious Play workshop was facilitated to help the teams get to know each other better as individuals and their team as an entity.

The result

The teams had a fun time discovering who they are as individuals and as a team. They built their vision of how they would work together after a reorganisation. This builds trust and strengthens the relationships between the individuals on a team

Strategy

Kraaijvanger architects would like to improve their business development and research process.

The approach:

A Lego Serious Play workshop was facilitated to help them decide what is the best path forward should be in this area.

The result

The team uncovered that they would like to make Kraaijvanger more visible to the outside world, needs to continue leaning out their internal processes and would benefit from having a person responsible for the business development and research process

Lean

De Bonte Koe a chocolate bonbon manufacturer in the Randstaat (Holland) experiences peaks of overtime.

The approach:

A lean analysis and a combination of training and coaching is being used to improve their processes.

  • Value Stream map of the main products

  • Gave chocolatiers a training in "wastes" in the broader Lean sense.

  • Identified issues in their planning and training of interim personnel.

The result

Visual planning is being used for daily and longer term planning

Lean in services

Eastman wanted to improve the productivity of its pricing department, so the resources could be used for integrating a recently acquired company.

The approach:

A lean analysis of certain pricing tasks in the region:

  • Create a process map of pricing tasks

  •  Timed the amount of time the different tasks took

  • Identified back and forth communication as a main issues

The result

Some pricing approvals were moved to the region and this allowed times to be saved and used for the integration.

Six Sigma
Risk Mitigation when launching a new product

Eastman Chemical company and a customer decided to launch a new product. However the risks where unknow, which made the customer reluctant to offer a warranty over their product.

The approach:

In order to mitigate the identified risks, a multidiscipline team from both companies was led to:

  • Create a process map of the production process covering activities from the customer to Eastman's manufacturing process

  • Prioritize the key inputs that needed to be optimized, where a difference was known to exist with the existing product.

  • Use a failure mode and effect analysis to understand the main areas of risk for the new product

  • Experiments were run for the appropriate parameters

  • Based on the experiments the customer offered a warranty for its new product, which increased sales for both parties.

The result

The customer offered the warranty and sales increased for both parties
